Always prep resources a day before – after not being able to find watercolours on the day of an art lesson and having to change the lesson!!

Who inspires you and why?

My friends. Single mothers, holding down a job and making a good life for their children.

When did you know you wanted to be a teacher?

I wanted to be a teacher while I was in school but took me a long time to get there. Was inspired into going back when my own children started school.

How do you unwind outside of work hours? What helps you to switch off?

Netflix in my pyjamas or long walks with my dog.
